Fluffy silver globe
awaits the breeze; sheds its hair
tiny parachutes

About irinadim
Kookaburra sweet,
you neither chirp nor tweet.
Your laughter is much like mine,
my cackle is much like thine.
We are two sister souls,
one clad in feathers,
the other in clothes.

Irina, I linked your lovely haiku on my blog. I wrote about wet dandelions.
I’m so glad my Dandelion inspired you. I’ve seen your post and it’s beautiful. Cheers 🙂 Irina.
Oh, is that what these are? Dandelions? I love taking pictures of them because they sure are pretty in their fluffy way. Well put about them being little parachutes!
Thank you so much, sf. I watched one of those little parachutes flying by the other day and the image stayed etched in my mind.
I just love this. This is a real haiku…vivid, charming, perfect scale and subject… delightful little reward at the end. Well done!!!
Oh, I’m so happy you like it, Doug. Your feedback is important to me and I’m delighted I met the challenge. 🙂
