P.S., The name Kookaburra is onomatopoeic of its call from Wiradjuri “guuguubarra”.

How creative that you have picked up an onomatopeia as a name for this little bird.
I enjoyed the poem as it has its own rhyme anda sort of inner music.

It’s the Aborigines who were creative naming this laughing bird “guuguubarra” and the Europeans then modified it only slightly. Thank you so much for your lovely comment, dear Aquileana. One of these days I’ll post some more photos of my beloved Kookaburra.
