Where can I find
A metaphor
For my poem today?
I look around
I listen to sounds
Of all kinds
I scratch my head
I enter
The garden of my mind
And all I find
Is
A desert!

Delightfully done! I have that ‘desert’ issue with metaphors and verse on occasion too.

An oasis in a desert.. That is also a metaphor when we lack of inspiration to write a poem… But you did well though!… 🙂
I hope you have a great week ahead. Best wishes to you!, Aquileana 😛

Thanks, Aquileana. ‘An oasis in a desert’ would be a metaphor for sudden inspiration, but for me on that day there was no oasis in sight, just the sand of the desert around me, no inspiration at all apart from that single metaphor for no inspiration! 🙂
Have a great week! Hugs, Irina
