A Hippy Tune

A Funny Bunny Poem

Spring starts in Australia on 1 September, so here’s a poem for Spring when bunnies enjoy life the most.

Funny Bunny
Loves li’l Mrs Bunny
Fat and tall is he
Slim and small is she
What a pair!
Fair is fair
Fairer she than he

Yet cuteness does not matter
Even though he’s fatter
Every day they frolic
In their paradise bucolic
Sniffing flowers
One by one
Nibbling clover
Tumbling over
Oh those sweet embraces
Over and over

Love’s all that and more
Let’s make love, not war!

So lovely… It brought me memories from my Childhood maybe… or perhaps of a lullaby I have once listened to!—- Thanks for sharing… Happy weekend to you, dear Irina. Best wishes. Aquileana 💮💐

What a lovely little poem Irina. I love the image of the tall, fat he and the small slim she. And what a wonderful word ‘bucolic’ is for the beautiful spring countryside. I think you’re all really ready for spring out there, after the cold winter so many areas have had. We’re on the verge of autumn here, which I always enjoy. Autumn colours are so gorgeous. But I’m not looking forward to winter, at all! Thank you for sharing this lovely, spring post about Funny Bunnuy and li’l Mrs Bunny.

I’m so glad you like my poem, Millie. I like autumn colours too. And winter here in Sydney is also wonderful. I used to like snow when I was young and did a lot of skiing, but now I don’t miss it.

I love your stories from when you were young, Irina, and look forward to reading the next one – whether it’s about skiing or not. 🙂 I hope I haven’t missed a post – it seems a while since I read the last one about your childhood. And I loved your little ‘Bunny’ poem.

I haven’t posted anything from my childhood for some time. Intend to do it though soon. I’m thrilled you like my posts and the Bunny poem. If you click on the Funny Bunny link at the top (in blue), you’ll find the first Funny Bunny poem. Cheers 🙂
