Greg, I discovered Boris on Facebook and then became his fan on Gather. My first post on Gather was a response to your challenge, and the encouragement you and Len gave me was such a thrill. I’m so glad I can follow your stories here.

thank you Almost Iowa, I appreciate you reading it! This story is actually a kind of a companion piece to another story of mine titled “The Shadow of the Great Nebula of Orion” which can be found here:

Thanks, dear Doda, I’m enjoying spring and I’m delighted you like this story. Boris is actually responsible for my “career” in cyberspace. Have a look at my reply to Greg above. Thank you so much for your kind words of appreciation of his writing. Have a great weekend. Hugs xoxox 🙂 Irina

Seemingly, the motives were strong and that’s how your WP “career” started!I don’t keep a FB account, unfortunately,I cannot admire your work there too.
Anyhow,I can see all the bright sides of you & your warm feelings here & on Twitter!

thank you DM, I appreciate you reading my story and your thoughts on it. Just to clear up any confusion, I’m a “he” rather than a “she”.

thank you Doda, I really appreciate your insightful and heartfelt feedback on my story. I’m glad that it resonated with you. I do try, through my writings, to make the readers see things from a new angle and in new light, and to enable readers to have insights into customs, norms, behaviours, assumptions etc that are accepted automatically by society and are never questioned.

The weather is absolutely glorious today. Will do a bit of gardening. You’re not missing much of my work by not being on FB. My main platform now is WP. Not doing much here at the moment either with my laptop being repaired. Must try another post from my smart phone just for fun! Have a lovely weekend, dear Doda. Hugs Xoxo Irina 🙂

Unfortunately my phone is not as smart as I thought it was. I wrote a short poem to accompany a photo but the phone is unwilling to arrange it in lines as I envisaged it. Or perhaps I don’t know how to do it…But I can pay a visit to your blog in the meantime. Happy Sunday, dear Doda. Hugs Xoxo *** 🙂 Irina

I got my laptop back so my little poem has been posted. Yesterday I spent 6 hours with my husband in the Emergency. He’s still there and I’m waiting for the results of the arterial scan in his right leg. Keeping fingers crossed. Thanks for your nice words, dear Doda. Hugs and best wishes. 🙂

Good morning my dearest Irina!I got good and bad news from you my friend.I’ve just seen your Lavender post and the Acrostic Poem, which I’ll enjoy after replying to your newsy comment. With your laptop in your hands now, everything is easier for you. However,I was really upset to know that you and your husband spent 6 hours in the Emergency.I’ll keep my fingers crossed and I’ll be anxiously waiting for the results too.Hope you get the best results and that your adventure comes soon to an end.Happy Tuesday my friend ~ All the best to you & your husband always. 🙂 xxx

Thanks for your caring words, dear Doda. I’m late with my reply, but only today I received the good news that there’s no blockage in his arteries and the pain in his leg was due to the infected big toe for which he’s been getting a strong antibiotic intravenously 4 times a day. They don’t want to let him home before he’s out of danger. A good friend went to visit him yesterday and today. I talk to him on the phone, housebound with a bad back – the result of prolonged sitting in Emergency on Monday. All’s well that ends well! Hugs xoxo 🙂

Thank you so much for letting me know! You were in my thoughts, yes,”All’s well that ends well”and sunny Spring days will help you forget all this adventure. From what you say,it’s safer for him to be in hospital and much easier for him to get the antibiotic intravenously, the iv therapy is the fastest way to help him.Happy Friday & Weekend my lovely one!Hope he is soon back at home 🙂 ❤ xxx

He came home yesterday, very tired. Today Sasha’s been sleeping all day practically. Still on oral antibiotics. Luckily my back has improved so I can take care of him. I’m counting my blessings! Happy weekend to you, dear Doda. Hugs xxx 🙂 ❤

Did he?Your good news have brightened my day, dearest friend Irina!I think that this is going to help Sasha more than the antibiotics.Keep counting your blessings, there is so much pain all over the world that we should be grateful for all the good things life has given us.Whatever happens we should never forget that there’s always something worse.Breathe the fragrance of your beautiful Lavender and enjoy a relaxing weekend,my sweet friend.Hugs xxx 🙂 ☀ ❤ ☀

You’re right, we must never forget how many people in this world are in a worse situation. The weekend was lovely and sunny, so was Monday, but today bad weather is approaching, with rain and wind predicted for a few days. Well, I’ll just practise being grateful again for the garden getting life-giving water. Have a great week, dear Doda xxx 🙂 ❤

How nice Irina!Your garden is going to enjoy the blessings of rain and soon your plants will show their gratitude to nature in their own unique way!Spring and Autumn rains are always welcome. We are lucky too as the first autumnal rains have started in Greece.Nevertheless, some regions received rather catastrophic rainstorms and aweful wirldwinds.Have a wonderful & peaceful day,my friend 🙂 xxx
