Without The Moon – A Rondel Prime for Mindful Poetry

I couldn’t resist writing another Rondel Prime, this time about my favourite celestial companion, the Moon…  This was 4 years ago, and I can’t find the first Rondel Prime I wrote for Susan Budig’s Mindful Poetry in 2012… Anyway, I might find it one day. But for today’s Super Moon here’s a tribute to our beautiful Moon.

Without the Moon

The Earth would be a lonely place
If suddenly she lost the Moon
The dark night’s happy face
Watching lovers croon

Would still lovers’ shy embrace
Turn into a dizzy swoon?
The Earth would be a lonely place
If suddenly she lost the Moon

Love perhaps would end too soon
Without Moon’s caring watchful base
A woeful end awaits the human race
Without her shiny loving boon

The Earth would be a lonely place
If suddenly she lost the Moon

How curious. I was just tonight looking at the moon and wondering what would happen if it were knocked out of the sky by an astroid, what changes there would be, how the tides would cease, and what that would mean to the fish. 🙂

    Bonsoir IRINAS

    SAVOIR PRENDRE
    Gros bisous Bernard

Hi Irina, I was on your blog the other day and I had no idea you wrote a book! Congratulations, to you on that. I am even more impressed with you now than I was before. 🙂

    • irinadim says:

Thank you, Cheryl. My book was published 2 years ago, and to tell you the truth I was impressed with myself! 🙂 Honestly, the amount of work I put into it was mindboggling…all that digital stuff…!!! But I’m very pleased with the result. Xlibris did a great job.
      Happy Thanksgiving, Cheryl! ❤

🙂 I had a great Thanksgiving Irina. I hope you had a wonderful week as well. So, you went with Xlibris I get tons of calls from them, of course I am not near ready yet, but I always wondered how legit they were. Now that your telling me you were pleased with their assistance I may keep them on my list…that is when I am ready. To be honest I find them to be a little pushy and annoying with their phone calls, which is what also turns me off about them. However, after the review you gave, we’ll see. 🙂 Have a great week ahead!

Cheryl, you are right about them being pushy, they keep pestering me to order more books. But when I decided to have some of my work published, it was at a time when I realised that there wasn’t much time left for me on this planet, which I explained in the Preface. So when I rang them just to find out more about their post on Facebook, I made the decision there and then on the phone and accepted their deal. Pretty crazy, but I’m glad I had the guts to do it. 🙂 But you can have your book published by Lulu or Create Space if you’re computer savvy, which is much cheaper. Happy week to you, Cheryl.

🙂 Thanks, for the tip Irina.

    Bonjour IRINAS

    Bisous , BERNARD

Lovely, Irina. The moon has been associated with lovers for so long, and rightly so. I love to see the moon at all its phases, but the full moon is very special.
