New Year’s Eve Resolution

On New Year’s Eve I’m bidding good riddance to bad habits and bad company.
The innocent-looking white cockatoo will not be welcome in 2019.
I love his fluffy white feathers, his cocky yellow crest and his black eye eyeing me cheekily…

… but that big black beak of his does wreak havoc on my balcony.

I will feed the genteel lorikeets, but there will be no feast for the white beast!

I will feed them on the railing and clean it up spotlessly clean after their meal so as not to leave any trace of the enticing seeds.

Amen!!! 🙂

Lol!! Still, the Cockatoo looks wonderful. How about a piece of wood he would like better than your balcony’s wood? 🧐🤔

  It wouldn’t work. He’s a mean character! 😉 Once he bit me on the elbow, sneaking from behind. Anyway, he’s not coming any more. I don’t think I’ll ever again be seduced by his charm. 🙂

They are so adorable! If I had seen such a bird close-up I’d definitely paint some. Unfortunately, I have never seen them so that I could draw or paint.
