Eucalyptus Sapling (haiku) – Doing our bit for the Environment

Mother Earth cries out

Plant a sapling in your patch

Clean air for all life

Recently, Mosman Council planted eucalypts all along our street. I’m glad to announce that only one sapling died, all the others are doing very well. ❤

What do you do for the environment?

Well done Irina…..My courtyard is a bit small for a tree, however the bees love all my flowers…..

We planted Milkweed in our yard, for the Monarchs. It’s the only plant they reproduce in. We had a Monarch painted on our side wall, as they are attracted to their own colours. Twenty years ago, there used to be clouds of Monarchs over our home, when they were migrating. About 5 years ago, we didn’t see 1 Monarch all summer. 4 years ago we planted and painted. We saw a lot of Monarchs this summer, not clouds, but a noticeable amount….. lie 50 – 100.
