Gum tree bark in my street, Sydney, Australia

Gum tree bark in another street

Knee rug (detail)
This cosy knee rug was knitted by some lovely ladies and given to my husband when he was in hospital gravely ill in 2009. When he came home after four months, he gave it to me. It reminds me every day to be grateful for every moment of life.

Kookaburra sweet,
you neither chirp nor tweet.
Your laughter is much like mine,
my cackle is much like thine.
We are two sister souls,
one clad in feathers,
the other in clothes.

Beautiful entry! The gym tree bark is different in each tree because it’s peeled in one of them? Or it’s different species?
I love the rug colors, those were some nice ladies!
Thanks for sharing in TT!
My comment has disappeared. OK, here I go again. The two photos are of different gum trees. I think there are over 200 different species.
Interesting textures.
Thanks, Sharon.
I love this Irina. Great textures and a beautiful laprug.
Thanks, Pam.
Beautiful photos!
Thanks, Jan.
Oh my! I’ve seen some similar to the one in the first photo, but never like the second. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
My pleasure. 🙂
