I can hear the angry wasps
Buzzing around
And the stampede of the wildebeest
Through the savannah
With the lions and cheetahs
In wait, ready to pounce
I can see the parched earth
Gaping – ready to swallow me
I can smell the burning trees
Ready to embrace me
And a flock of
Hungry vultures
Descending
Gasping for air
I turn into
A stump!

About irinadim
Kookaburra sweet,
you neither chirp nor tweet.
Your laughter is much like mine,
my cackle is much like thine.
We are two sister souls,
one clad in feathers,
the other in clothes.

This was awesome, Irina.
Pam, it’s only better according to Doug. I need to work on it a bit more. You’ll soon see the third version. Interesting process.
