Angry wasps
Fill my ears
Wildebeests stampede
Through the savannah
Lions and cheetahs
Ready to pounce
Parched earth
Ready to swallow me
Burning trees
Ready to embrace me
Hungry vultures
Descend
Gasping for air
I turn into
A stump!

Kookaburra sweet,
you neither chirp nor tweet.
Your laughter is much like mine,
my cackle is much like thine.
We are two sister souls,
one clad in feathers,
the other in clothes.
